In short: Scandora scans documents to Google Drive. You scan with your phone camera or an office network scanner, and each scan goes to your own Drive as a PDF named after its AI title, in a folder called Scandora or one you name yourself. The original stays on your device and in the storage you choose.
How do I scan documents to Google Drive?
- Connect your Google account in Scandora's integration settings. You sign in with Google itself, so Scandora never sees your Google password.
- Decide where the files go: a folder named Scandora, or a folder with a name you choose.
- Scan with the phone camera or with a network scanner over eSCL/AirScan, and pick Google Drive as the destination.
- Scandora uploads the PDF in the background.
What lands in your Drive
One PDF per scan, with every page of a multi-page document in the same file. The file name is the title the AI suggested, so the folder reads like a list of documents rather than a row of numbered scans. With "Organize by document type" switched on, Scandora sorts each file into a subfolder for its AI-detected type, such as Invoice, Receipt or Contract. That is how the receipt scanner workflow keeps receipts apart from everything else.
What access does Scandora get to my Google Drive?
Only to the files and folders it creates for you. Scandora asks for Google's drive.file permission, which covers the files the app itself made, not the rest of your Drive. The PDF travels from your device straight to Google and does not pass through a Scandora server on the way. Scandora's server takes part only in the Google sign-in and in renewing its access token.
Where does the AI step run?
Managed AI reads the scan to suggest the file's title, its labels and the document type. For that it sends the scanned page to Google Gemini, processed in the EU. While you are signed in, a low-resolution preview, the extracted text and the document's details also sync to Scandora's servers in the EU. Your original files stay on your device and in the storage you choose; with Drive connected, that storage is your own Google Drive. The EU servers page shows every path one by one.
Phone, tablet, Mac or office scanner
Scandora runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android, in English and German. Scan with the phone camera, which finds the page edges and works offline, or with an office network scanner over eSCL/AirScan when a stack of paper is waiting. Either way the result is the same PDF in the same Drive folder, and Scandora carries no ads.
Google Drive or Trello
Google Drive files the document; Trello turns it into a task. A scan can instead become a Trello card with the PDF attached, an AI-read title, labels and a due date, as the scan to Trello page explains. Google Drive and Trello are the two destinations Scandora sends to today, and both connect to accounts you own.
