Paid plans are available now: Pro (€9.99/month or €89/year) adds a much larger monthly AI-credit allowance and priority support, and Business / DATEV (€24.99/month or €229/year) adds 5,000 AI credits a month, dedicated support and capture designed for GoBD & DSGVO record-keeping — its DATEV, lexoffice and sevDesk export is coming soon and is not available in this version yet. The prices shown in the App Store or Google Play are the final prices for the respective product; with a trial, an introductory or promotional offer, or a prorated plan change the amount actually charged can differ, and the amount the store states on your receipt is the one that applies.

Scandora is available on iOS, macOS, and Android. You can scan documents using your phone camera or connect professional scanners on desktop.

Your original scans stay on your device and go only directly to Google Gemini for extraction — using a short-lived credential our server issues — and to the cloud services you choose. So your history syncs across your devices, we store a low-resolution preview, the extracted text and the document's details on our EU servers — never your original files. The text and preview are encrypted on your device before upload; we hold a key to them unless you turn on Advanced Protection in the app, which locks them with your own code. AI document search and chat run on your device. To build their index, your device sends Google (Vertex AI in the EU) the extracted text and the AI description of every document you scan while signed in; a search then sends only the search query, and an answer only your question and the passages it draws on. Managed AI generation is processed in the EU — Google Gemini on Vertex AI in Frankfurt, Germany. You stay in control of your data.

No. Scandora runs on managed AI — your monthly credits cover document extraction, indexing, and AI chat. There is no bring-your-own-key mode, so there is no API key to obtain or enter.

Your original scans stay on your device and in the storage you choose, the servers we do run are in the EU, and we don't embed third-party advertising trackers. For business use we provide an AVV / Data Processing Agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) you can read, download and sign.

No. Scanning and edge detection both work offline. You only need a connection when you sync a document to a cloud service like Trello or Google Drive, or when managed AI processes a scan.

Retrieval runs on your device against an on-device index, which your device builds by sending Google the extracted text and the AI description of every document you scan while signed in; an answer then sends your question and the passages it selects, directly to Google — never your original files.
